So, what exactly do I get?
You will receive an internet commerce website, fully setup and ready to do business. Everything is included!... credit card processing, the updating and maintenance of the product database including product availability and descriptions. You will also be provided with a secure way to track sales. You don't have to worry about any of the technical stuff! Everything required to run your store is included by the technology system: servers, databases, programming etc.
Is it safe?
Your store will run on a secure computing infrastructure located in a secure data center in Florida. Access to the server is controlled by physical security. As for sensitive data, all personal information is encrypted to maximize its protection. Security on the Internet is a constantly evolving technology, as such the technology company can not guarantee that their facilities will never be compromised, only that they take appropriate steps to minimize that risk.
What will my store name be?
You have the freedom to name your store. Choose your own store name and domain name! do not have a domain name for your bookstore, we will assign you a sub-domain website address. If you want your own name, such as http:// 123ChristianBookstore.com then you will be responsible for the domain registry fees associated with registering your domain name. For those wanting to register their own name, we recommend the services of KingsDomains.com, who can provide those services for around $8.95 per year.
How many products are on offer?
Currently approximately 158,000 products are available in the Christian Retail Store.
Can I customize the service?
There are many ways the service can be customized. You can choose from a number of pre-defined templates to control the look and feel of your site. You can even create your own template for a truly one of a kind look. You can upload your own logo, create your own "contact us" page, and make your own recommendations on the home page for titles you would like to feature. You can customize the discount level you sell products at, and you can tailor many other aspects of your store!
In what countries is the service available?
Yes, the service is now available to bookstores across the United States, Canada, The Euro Zone and the United Kingdom. Launched at the beginning of 2006, the service has proven extremely successful.
I'm not in the USA ~ Can I still open a store in my area?
Technology is available within the US, Canadian, European and UK markets. We are also working on additional markets including Australia.
How much does it cost?
The basic store comes loaded with almost 160,000 products, plus you may add up to 100 products of your own and up to 500 unique web pages! The enrollment fee is $195 + the monthly service fee is $19.98 for stores selling into the US market (products shipped within the USA).
